I am curious to here from other veterans on how they feel about the changes this country has undergone in the recent past. In my opinion we are far, far away from the path laid out by those who began our "Noble Experiment" on democracy. The Constitution has been shredded by the actions of this administration and those in the past (both Republican and Democrat) until it is now a mere shadow of what it used to be. We have lost the balance of power between the 3 branches of government and with it the controls on excess use of power. Our legislative branch no longer functions at all the judiciary consistently oversteps its function and makes laws rather than enforces them and the Executive branch is nothing more than a dictatorship without any regard to the limits defined in the Constitution.

As I talk to other veterans and non-veterans there is definetly an undercurrent of despair and anger that is quickly reaching the boiling point and I fear we will be facing what was almost unthinkable even a few years ago, armed revolt.

How do we stop it? That's the question we must all be looking at. The 2 party system is part of the problem so they cannot be counted on to be part of the solution.
